A foggy start
10 June 2018
So our day began with visibility quite hampered by a thick morning fog. It was eerie in the boat basin as the water was still and you could not see far away but you could hear noises. That is why we love to read right? My imagination was running wild.
We wanted to leave by 10 o’clock to get a jump into Atlantic City. So with the fog taking its sweet time, we took care of a few chores. One lesson Greg has learned is to check our credit card company to make sure everything looks correct before leaving the dock. Hmmm....seems they charged us for the fuel of the guy who left yesterday. We bought fuel as well so it was easy to argue why would we fuel up twice. At $3.55 a gallon, we can’t afford to be that generous.
By 10 o’clock we are off and we swing by Contigo to say “see you up the road”. The Atlantic was a piece of cake though the wind was on our nose so we motored the entire way.
Anchor down at 4:00 safely in the harbor as we watch jet skis zip around. There are only three of us anchored out here, but the holding is great and the lights from the various casino hotels provide entertainment.
