Wing It
19 June 2018
What a lovely day we had yesterday. We have gotten finally in a routine of a few chores in the morning and then fun in the afternoon.....followed by a nap and dinner and then planning and then bed. So there you have it! That is all of our excitement wrapped up into one sentence. And.....we have now got a new buzz phrase because when the above schedule does not work.....we "Wing It".
We had seen a 34 Nordic Tug in a pack of three trawlers in the Atlantic Highlands and we ran into them again in New York City as they were part of a caravan leaving and heading out as we did. Their names were Dick and Sue Wing and their Nordic Tug is named Wing It! Thanks to Wing It for the picture of Ti Amo as we headed up the East River. A delightful couple who have sailed the Connecticut waters most of their years but currently live in Charleston SC. They are cruising up and down the coast with a few side trips and we were glad they took the time to meet us along with Judy and Fernando on Sunset Run.
After a wonderful lunch and tons of stories we said our goodbyes to Wing It as they fly to Seattle for a week. Judy, Fernando, Greg and I head back to our boats all in one dinghy and the wind is not is a favorable direction. Waves coming over the bow of the inflatable quickly put us all near the back. The laughter, the squeals, the wet cold water, and Judy's cannolis made for a fun trip back to our boats. We said our goodbyes as we dropped them at Sunset Run.
