Rainy days mean?
24 June 2018
Chores!!!!!!
With a steady gentle rain forecast for much of the day, Ti Amo decided to stay put. I did a little work trying to tidy up some loose ends while Greg tended to engines and changing filters.
About lunch time the weather cleared enough to get the trash to shore and pick up a few things at the ship store in the harbor.
Back at Ti Amo we start planning our trip to Portland, Maine. The tides and current in the Cape Cod Canal are unlike any we are told we have ever seen. Greg spent most of his evening looking at tide charts and trying to determine when slack tide would be in one bay and when the flood tide came in from another.
Oh well.....after a nice bowl of chili (thanks to Uncle Bennett's canned tomatoes) and a glass of wine, he is steady at it again. We have our reservations at a marina in Portland where we pick up the Clinefelter's and will head from there to Boothbay Harbor (Haba as our friends the DeCostes would say) then to Penobscot and end in Barr Harbor.
We will head out to Newport this morning and await our window for the canal.
