So this is what I will imagine every time I hear someone say their head was in a fog. It was so thick this morning you could barely see your neighbor let alone the other 40 plus boats moored with you. The town if you were directionally challenged was like pin the tail on the donkey. It was nowhere to be seen until about 9:30 when it lifted a bit. The town emerged through the fog and after morning chores and work Greg and I loaded into the launch and took off for lunch and a little shopping.
Still trying to find the best clam chowdah "down east", we head for a chowder house of sorts and indulge. Sorry but as of this writing, nothing compares to the chowdah at Block Islands Harbor Inn. We will continue as we make stops on our way home to find one, but we may be ordering a few quarts for freezing at Block Island.
We did a little window shopping in town and while doing so, the bottom fell out and the rain began. The launch service had to wait thirty minutes as they had heard thunder so we sat and had a cocktail. Isn't it funny how you find reasons to sit and drink or eat?
Back at Ti Amo in time to grab a nap before dinner and hang our wet clothes up to dry. Looking forward to a better weather day!
