Boothbay De’ja vu
20 July 2018
With 21 days available on the calendar and only 14 necessary to make our trip home, we decided to visit a few places a second time and then see a few new ones.
We started with Boothbay as I loved their peanut butter taffy and of course we knew they had some great chowdah. Within moments we are in town sitting at McSeagulls for an afternoon cocktail before hitting the shops.
With not much left to see or do and money in short supply (lol) we head back to Ti Amo and discuss dinner over a glass of wine. We went into one of our favorite chowdah places and then check emails.
We received an email from a fellow cruiser......
Dejavu......sitting two boats In front of us in the same mooring field is a couple who had been following our blog two years ago and we met in Hopetown, Abacos, Bahamas. Ted and Claire are live aboards on a 52 Irwin Ketch from Longview Texas. We finish our chowdahs and head out to their boat to catch up with them. So good to see familiar faces and talk about where they have been. Seems they will head back to the Bahamas again this year and we hope we get to catch up with them there.
