“Glostah”
24 July 2018
We left our anchorage at Kittery Maine and headed out with hopes of getting to Scituate, MA. With southerly winds predicted of 10-15 on our nose it was going to be a long day.
We immediately deployed the main sail for the stability factor and that made for a more enjoyable ride for a bit.
The winds were kicking at 15-25 and mostly in the 20’s with 4-5 foot seas every four seconds. We were taking a pounding but Ti Amo holds us steady and safely as we make our way round the Rockport/Gloucester tip.
By this time we have decided that another four hours of this is not what we desire so we head in to the Gloucester Harbor where we know we can drop anchor.
The weather sounds pretty rough for the next couple of days so we may be here a bit or we may try to get to Scituate so that we can be ready when a window opens to hit the Cape Cod Canal and Buzzards Bay.
