Wye River
04 August 2018
With pictures and horror stories about the debris in the waters, we elect to stay on the eastern side of the bay for a bit. We have seen some of logs and branches, but not the amount we believe there must be on the western side.
I think we may have had to “dodge” debris two or three times on our trek to the Wye. The one thing we did not dodge was a small little storm as we approach Kent Narrows. Thanks goodness “small” was the key word and we with the “Narrows” unscathed and just in time for the bridge.
We motor on to Shaw Bay on the Wye and put the anchor down for a restful evening. After the 70 miles the previous day, I was happy to have a shorter day. Chicken Caesar salads early and then watching the storms roll in and around before hitting the bed.
Solomon’s we hope to be our next destination.
