Back at Lee Stocking
16 January 2019
Well the hunters have been out with their rods and reels or their spears and it seems that the winners of the day are Bev on Dagny (she caught a Mahi Mahi) and Paul on Two Outrageous (he caught a lobster).
It is so much fun to hear folks as they are “fishing” (not catching) when the line catches. The level of excitement in the boat at that very minute is hard to explain. We have been there but unfortunately most times it was a barracuda. We elected not to fish this year because of Jaxon. With all the excitement and the blood and mess, we just think we needed to concentrate on him this year.
It is very disappointing, but we are receiving news of a rather untimely blow next week. They are forecasting large winds in the high twenties to upper thirties. They clock around and then an additional front will come in after it with high winds again. All are busy listening to our weather experts and looking at our weather apps trying to decide where to go hide from them.
While we like the idea of Emerald Bay Marina for the simple fact we can get off the boat, we don’t like being stuck in a marina when all the beauty is outside to be seen. We are thinking of staying here at Lee Stocking as we find protection from most directions and hopefully we could get off the boat to go to the beach and stretch our legs.
