Prepping

Okay we took the day to goof off yesterday so today there is some serious preparations to do.
I always feel good when the floors have been vacuumed, the walls are wiped down, the bathrooms cleaned, wood work dusted and kitchen spotless. But it does not come easy in a sailboat as the space is tight if two of you are working together.
We enjoyed (that is a stretch) diving under the beds to replenish items we need for the coming week with Jen and Janek. Their room is ready and somehow I feel like we are getting ready for an Airbnb guest, but so glad they are family.
The moon was exciting to watch last night until I was in bed with a hatch open directly over my head. It felt like one would think an interrogation light might feel like. The intensity of its' light was so bright I had to put up a shade so I could get some sleep. Maybe I should have asked Tessa for her unicorn mask that she wears to keep the light out of her eyes at night.
