Boat Bound
11 February 2019 | Delectable Bay
It was going to happen at some point.....the winds kicked up into the 30 knots and we are on board for the day. Not much you can do but think about the boat projects you have been putting off or work on your inventory of parts and/or food.
I actually decided to start depleting our food inventory and elected to cook all day. I had baked 2 Outrageous three dozen oatmeal raisin cookies and continued by baking my first two loaves of white bread. We are out of bread for sandwiches and even our flour tortillas are diminishing so I thought it was time to try. I think they turned out rather nicely and I will continue to perfect this now that I have made this first attempt. Next I made fresh coleslaw from the cabbage we got at the store the other day. It will pair nicely with the barbecue I intend to have for dinner. Next I made an orzo salad for the rest of the week as a side to lunch or dinners of chicken. At that point I decided I was exhausted and had quite a mess to clean.
I should not forget the stressful day Jaxon had. Grace V lent me their nail clippers and I took the points off of Jaxons toes nails. You would have thought I was taking the whole paw. He is a little dramatic to say the least.
Greg had made water and charged the batteries. He was also bird dogging an issue we are having with our chartplotter. Our chartplotter intermittently comes on with six screen displays instead of one. So he had his hands full as he called and spoke to his resident expert who is currently on his boat doing “The Loop”.
Anyway, not much going on but enough to keep us from going crazy. We may move down a little further south today and then head to the Raggeds Wednesday. We will keep you posted.
