Little Raggeds
14 February 2019 | South side Harbor, Little Raggeds
Anchors up and anchors stuck at 5:00am. Delphina and 2 Outrageous were on their way and Ti Amo was stuck on a rock. We had to rock back and forth and try to maneuver her off of the rock without putting stress on the windlass. It took some skill (lol) and patience but we got out and we were on our way to an eighty mile trek to the Raggeds/Jumentos. We heard from Karen and Tim that they had pulled up anchor and were on their way to Long Island.
Paul had given us waypoints to use for the course he had plotted. Delphina led the charge and we were all suprised at the amount of wind we had to start the trip. It was different leaving in the dark and watching the sun come up as you are sailing.
We ran into a couple of squalls along the way but for the most part we had a very calm and easy day. A dear friend we met here the same year we met 2 Outrageous was going to meet us at our anchorage. Charlie on Migration was heading our way and it will be fun to spend some time snorkeling and “hunting”.
Jaxon has gotten accustomed to running on the beach at least once a day so he has had a ton of energy to burn. When we finally dropped anchor he did laps around the boat. He is such a goof ball.
Safely anchored after driving by Migration, we all agree to meet in the morning as everyone is exhausted. We were up at 5:00am and anchors down at 6:00pm. It was a long day.
