Boat bound

07 March 2019 | Williams Cay, Lee Stocking

It started as a nice calm morning with the captain calling 2 Outrageous on the VHF to find out when the “blow” was to begin. As predicted, just about noon the winds began to pick up. We have five catamarans in the anchorage and three monohulls. The monohull we thought was getting a little too close to us, the 27 Compact, was actually swinging pretty close to the neighboring catamaran. All hands were on deck as they wait to see the fate of their boats. The Compact only has “rode” so the line is under a great deal of pressure. All were very friendly and got through the worst of it without anyone needing to move.

Some folks made the best of the day by wind surfing. This gentleman is actually on one of the catamarans in the anchorage. He was having a great time and he stayed out for quite a while. It was fun to watch.

I made use of the day and rearranged a few cabinets as I have been struggling with a couple of them. I gave Jaxon his own cabinet as his “stuff” was getting out of control. For lunch I made chicken salad and stuffed endive leaves with it for something a little different.

Greg and Jaxon actually were able to get off the boat and go to shore for a run. The clouds were rolling in but we have not had any rain with this blow as of yet. Once the boys were back at the boat, I made a home made pizza for dinner and we watched the sun set. The sun with its’ rays coming through the clouds was a thing of beauty....not to be captured by a silly iPhone but still it was nice.
