Back to Black Point and thru the Mega Yachts

24 March 2019 | Black Point, Great Guana Cay, Exumas

With word of winds out of the north and east, we knew Black Point offered us good protection and there were some things we could do ashore if we want to brave the dinghy ride.

We pulled up anchor about 1000 and waved goodbye to the twin Selene. Then we made our way through the Mega Yachts. Of course this is spring break season so there are several large yachts with college age and high school age folk. So I am just wondering what I would have had to do to convince my parents to let me take a cruise on a mega yacht with 7 or 8 other “kids”. Not to mention the amount of money I would have had to have at my disposal. We were lucky to get to Overhill Lake.....LOL. Great memories.

We are safely anchored as are Barry and Robin. We lunch on the boats and then head to shore for laundry and a few Kaliks and Pink Sands. I mean really....if you have to do laundry in the Bahamas you should at least do it right!

Dinner is aboard Ti Amo with mushroom and pepperoni pizza and Caesar salads. Robin had brought some of the ingredients so we can pull it off as we were short on cheese and lettuce and mushrooms. I had made the dough earlier in the day and once they arrived we could throw it all together. It was great fun just sitting and chatting about the trip and upcoming adventures.

Once the sun went down Robin and Barry returned to Crossroads and we all called it “another day”.
