Team Clinefelter arrives on Tuesday so what would I do on Monday? You got it! We hit the grocery store early, fruits, veggies, meats and dry goods. It looked like a regular grocery week at home. We typically walk to the grocery store and walk back each carrying two bags, but on this day we hailed a cab for the return ride. There is no way we could have carried all of that back a mile and a half. Now back at the boat comes the real trick. Where do we stow it all? Our refrigerator had plenty of room thank goodness and we just readjusted our dry goods and freezer for the rest.
Now we are ready and eagerly awaiting their arrival. When folks come into the Marsh Harbor airport, they of course will go through customs and then hail a cab to the Union Jack Dinghy Dock. The dinghy dock is quite crazy at times with boats tying up with short painters making it difficult to maneuver around them. Sometimes the task is like parting of the Red Sea. We are swimming or plowing our way through some days.
Off to make dinner and then the UVA/Texas Tech game. Now dinner was special as we had lobster, rice and asparagus.....Greg does a great job on the grill with our lobster tails.
Then the game of the year!!!! UVA has never been in this situation before but they showed they had the right to be there. What an exciting game to watch and Texas Tech game them quite a run. Congratulations to all who have been eagerly awaiting this day for however long it has been. You have been patient long enough. With two “kids” working at UVA and another a graduate, these are just a few of the smiles we miss seeing today. But no one is as happy as my dear friend and boss for many years, Andy Ellen. He went to the final four and then on to see the victory game. I am sure the campus is a mess today but wouldn't it be fun to be there?
