Treasure Cay

With the wind on our beam and our sails out, we head to Treasure Cay early. The sailing is perfect and adds just another element to the great trip we have had with Thom and Lynn. As we near the mooring field the winds kicked up to over 30 knots and we were bringing the sails in. With lines whipping here and there, we finally get it in and head to the moorings where Thom and I work to secure the mooring ball.
Once settled we are packing our bags for the beach. We head to first register Ti Amo and show Thom and Lynn around the facilities. Once registration is complete we head to one of my favorite beaches here on Treasure Cay. The view is amazing and it does not disappoint. We put our bags and towels down and head to the waters edge to enjoy the water before heading to the Bahama Beach Resort for lunch.
Eager to have lobster tacos, I am disappointed to find out that lobster is out of season and they have none for lunch. Oh well, thank goodness they had my mango daiquiri with a rum floater. That was worth the wait. So fish tacos would be the lunch entree for most and we head back to the beach for another hour.
Two Outrageous is in the mooring field along with Migration so we head back to the pool and await them. So good to catch up with them as they may head home tomorrow if the weather gives them their window. We sit and have a cocktail by the pool and tell tall tales.
I invite everyone to Ti Amo for a dinner of brats, peppers and rice. Now is the time to try my new margarita tick on Thom and Lynn. Laurie and Paul taught me how to make a special margarita using limeade, tequila and a secret ingredient. No one had a clue except the three of us and everyone said how delicious they were. Hmmmm....it will be my new “go to” when we have a bunch of folks over.
We spend a couple of hours just talking listening to music before the party starts to break up. It was a great end to the day.
