A Long Day At Sea

With thoughts of leaving Charleston by 0800, we are up early and preparing the cabin for a safe voyage on the open seas. 2 Outrageous will be making the trek with us to Cumberland Island. They have been before so we are excited to explore some place new.
We have left the Charleston harbor and found the waters to Nobel quite calm this morning. Our goal is to reach the St Simons Channel at about 0600 hours tomorrow (Friday). We will have to maintain about 6 knots or a little less so that we do not arrive before daybreak. We prefer to not enter the channel against the current but at last check we may still be ahead of schedule.
We have enjoyed getting Jaxon acclimated to the offshore passage. Doing short little hops will help him adjust easier for the four day trip home in May. We are doing watches of three off and three on with really little sleep happening as we are all keyed up. We will get to our anchorage and sleep then.
