An early morning chat with the grandchildren starts the day with warm feelings in our heart and the remainder of the day warmed us to our toes. With water temperatures of 79 degrees, and the air at 80, we are in shorts and flip flops. Life is good.
We made plans to meet a dear friend, Bill Hipple for lunch at Bradleys. Greg, Jaxon and I hop in the dinghy and head up to the dinghy dock which is a bit up the waterway from where we are anchored. The ride back was quite bumpy but so worth the trip. It was great to spend time catching up with Bill and talking about family and plans. Bill is a captain to a mega yacht in the area and there is definitely no shortage of them here.
We left lunch and headed back towards Ti Amo and decided to pay Rybovich Super Yacht Marina (across the waterway) a visit for a drink at the cafe. We were tickled to see two guys repelling down the side of one yacht. You don't see that every day. We enjoyed watching the VA Tech/UVA game while we sat at the bar imagining the lifestyle of those that own these mega yachts.
Hopefully off to Fort Lauderdale via the ocean again tomorrow. This stretch of the ICW is not one of my favorite as there are a number of bridges.
