10 December 2019 | Tavernier, FL
First on the list ..... obtain a rental car. We had put in our reservation last week and they knew we would be there at 0900 hours. By 1000 hours Greg is on his way back to Ti Amo.
Meanwhile I have called to schedule a pump out of our holding tank. The county has a boat that goes to the area marina and performs this function. After a huge debate as to whether we were at a house or a marina, we get the pump out done.
Greg is now back and the fuel guy is calling to say he can bring the truck over and deliver us the diesel fuel we need within thirty minutes. Greg prepares the tanks and then the big delivery truck pulls in. Within twenty minutes, we have topped off with 194 gallons of diesel fuel.
Next we are heading to the laundromat to take seven loads of laundry to the coin laundromat. While I tend to the laundry, Jaxon and Greg go to pick up a new toaster and a few other odds and ends we are needing. By 1530 hours we are back at Ti Amo exhausted from the day we have had. We still need to make the bed (fresh sheets....my favorite thing) put away the clean clothes and start packing up our winter clothes to send home.
What a day in Tavernier! And look at who came to visit today! They are abundant here.
