Could it be?

After a wonderful day full of family, friends and new friends we settled in early so that we be up for the 0630 Marine Weather Center broadcast for the Bahamas and Florida.
Greg takes the laptop up to the house where we get the best connectivity while I stay back and man the coffee pot and generator. 8-10 cups of water to 12 scoops of coffee. I think I am getting the hang of it though I am still not remembering to turn the charger (for the batteries) on when I have the generator running. But I did remember the one most important to me (of course), the hot water heater. Oh well as you can see when we change jobs around we need to be sure we remember ALL of the steps.
Greg is back....the coffee just finished and now for our morning discussion of weather and whether we can leave anytime soon.
With the hint of an opportunity I am excited. We have been waiting since early December for this opportunity and while our initial date in our heads was around the 17th thru the 22nd, we are really just a little over a week past that.
With the hint, Greg changes the generator oil and we inventory the freezer. Just making sure we have things taken care of before leaving even if at a last minute notice.
We studied WindFinder, Windy, NOAA, Buoy, and of course Marine Weather Center and Tides Near Me to make sure we were getting consistent information. It is a tricky dance and Greg does a great job of gathering the information and then getting together with other folks we know waiting to cross.
Ed and Mari-Etta have invited us for leftovers and a movie. "Captain Ron" was the movie and what a great laugh we got from it. We had fun reheating leftovers and then even having a little intermission during the movie for dessert. We bid them farewell as they are leaving today for a road trip and we are anticipating departing from Tavernier before their return.
