The seas were to start calming down by mid morning so our plan was to leave about 10:00. The low tide was at approximately 9:30 so we are leaving on a rising tide which with the Rat Cay Cut is not imperative but it is nice information to have.
The ride out to the cut along the sound is one of my favorite as we pass Children’s Bay. I remember Greg and I anchoring there and enjoying a night or two.
The cut was a “non event” with little or no waves crashing or rolling. We are through it in no time and on our way to George Town. The ride was not as pleasant as we are headed right into the wind and the waves are coming every every 4 seconds and some have a bit of swell to them. Oh well. Ruth be known, we would have stayed at Willams Cay if it were not for a dental issue we need to get looked at by the local dentist in George Town. It has been bothering Greg for a while and we just want to get it corrected or fixed the best we can till we can get home.
So finally about 2:00 we arrive in George Town and drop the anchor in Kidds Cove close to Lake Victoria. This stages us to be close to the dinghy dock for our hopeful appointment on Monday and of course close to the Exuma Market for a grocery stop.
Greg has got the football game on and enjoying a little of that while I prepare dinner. Another day is done!
