Needless to say that the one thing boaters hate more than anything is moisture down below. In my cleaning the forward head and bedroom we found that some water must have gotten in from the ocean port lights. Definitely not what I wanted to find but better to find it now. So the bed gets stripped and all the walls wiped down.......everything needs the sun to help dry out the space. Outside we hang the comforter on the boom to dry looking something like a laundromat.
2 Outrageous has come into Georgetown after being up at Lee Stocking Island for a couple of weeks. We chat with them and make plans for burgers at Splash! Splash is the bar that has the swings at the bar. I have always like that place and they have some of the best burgers in the Bahamas.
After lunch Greg and i met up with Grace the Hans Christian sailboat from the UK. Dave and Helen were going to let me try out their paddle board. Such a lovely couple. I paddled about for a couple of what seemed like hours but truly only thirty minutes or so when we all went to the beach for a walk. It felt good to get on land for a bit and then back to Grace for a quick cocktail and a taste of some “just out of the oven” bread. As I told Helen, I am always in the market for the best bread recipe.
Back at Ti Amo for dinner and then it seems Greg can get his Philadelphia 76’rs on the television so I will scoot to read. But.....surprise surprise surprise.......my dad is calling. My sister had been to his house earlier in the day to help him understand what he was doing incorrectly with his emails and to see if he could chat with me via Facebook chat. They could not get the camera or microphone to work but just being able to text or email with him is a great thing for us both. Well surprise to me, my younger brother followed up after my sister left and got the microphone and camera to work. Low and behold there is Dad. It was great to see him and the fact he could see me I think helps him to know I am okay. Thank you to Laura and Mark.....you guys are great!
