glenda groome
George Town is already getting too busy and the thoughts of staying there for ten days waiting on a part does not excite us so we are off to Long Island for a bit.
The winds are light and variable and it is a lovely time to be on the water. It is as slick as glass and it looks as though it could be skated upon if it were ice. We both got in a few chapters on our reading as there was not much traffic on our four and a half hour ride.
When we arrived at Thompsons Bay, Long Island, there were twelve boats in the anchorage. I say that because the comparison to the one hundred and ninety boats in George Town will tell you how busy a spot we left and how relaxing a spot we have come to enjoy.
We drop the dinghy in preparations for the next couple of days here and then sit back and just enjoy the quiet and the sunset. So glad to be here.
