Well we finally made it late Thursday evening and immediately sought out a spot to anchor in Kidd Cove where we would be close to the dinghy dock for shopping and laundry on Friday.
And as usual I am the first to arrive at the laundromat with three loads of clothes, detergent, snack and coffee. I will be there a while and Laurie will be joining me later so that make the time go by faster. Out of the washer and in the drawer after thirty minutes and then after another forty five to sixty we are folding and marching back to the dinghy dock.
After the laundry comes the grocery store. I am in heaven.......greens, greens and more greens. They were light on the dairy products which just meant I needed to head to Shop Rite to see if they had any and bingo.....I am done. I cannot get back to the boat fast enough. For lunch I am having a salad with salmon atop and black beans. Who knew it took so little to excite me?
We have seen River Rat and make plans to have a burger with them at Peace and Plenty beach bar and then hang out on their boat until the storm we are awaiting begins. It is expected by dinner time but we had an early 4:30 dinner so we sit and enjoy the sunset on River Rat. So good to catch up with Carl and Debi......they have had a good season so far and have had guests most of the time so they are just now making friends and sailing to other destinations.
it is 8:00 pm and no strong winds yet but it is pretty close to boaters midnight. Time to call it a night.
