Wow! Who knew we needed a good nights sleep..... lol! The slow gentle rock or swaying as we are tied to a dock is a heck of a lot better than the rock and roll at sea!
Today we will get to some maintenance and repair issues aboard. First and foremost is the repair to the genset. Our water pump failed on our last day out at sea so it is time for Greg to do what he does best.....diagnose and repair!
Jaxon and I will play it smart and go for a walk. We are on dock 14 which is the furtherest from the marina office so it makes for a nice walk. We have never been here before but have heard stories about what a great marina it is and how everyone loves the amenities.
Considered to be a live aboard marina, it boasts free laundry, free wine and beer on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, free bathroom facilities, huge dog park, free parking, WiFi, gas grills and I am sure much more!!!! I will say it is quite nice to have the dock master help you in and out of your slip.
This could become habit forming but for me I think it is the surprise of tomorrow and what “new” we may find in another location. The moving further south brings some more warmth with yes more humidity. It brings out not only the tee shirts, but the shorts and flip flops.....then maybe below Fort Lauderdale we will see bathing suits.
Well we are off to get some lunch, explore a little and make a grocery run.
