Jaxon gets his day!
30 January 2021 | Ft Myers Beach, Fl
glenda groome
The fog has lifted and we have survived a day and a half of upwards of 20 to 30 knot winds on the hook. It is time to get off the boat.
While I get ready Greg makes a quick trip to a little strip of sand he found to let Jaxon have a nice run. Boy he has been most anxious to run so this is great. When they return to pick me up he is all wet but happy as a clam? Lol.
We head to the free dinghy dock and tie up. With not much on the agenda, we walk aimlessly about peering into shops and do some people watching. I am amazed at the number of folks on the beach. Jaxon is walking funny and I just know he has a burr in his paw. Nope....not a burr......worse.....gum in his right hind paw. UGH. I pull out what I can as I don’t carry a knife or scissors. He seems to be walking normally now as we make our way to Nervous Nellies for an early dinner.
If our waitress says “no problem” one more time, I may have to come up with a huge request to see if that too is “no problem”. She had not been there but a month, but someone needs to tell her that switching up your responses or using something other than “no problem” may work better.
We dinghy back to Ti Amo and plan our next move for the rest of the evening. We will move just a little bit to Sanibel Island today and then to Cape Coral for our next blow.
