Charleston

We had planned to stay the day in the Charleston Harbor and enjoy a walk and lunch in town. But before we can have fun, we have many chores to tend to. Boat maintenance, dinghy maintenance and dog maintenance.

Greg was busy checking the engine impellers and cleaning the engine intake screens as well cleaning heat pump filters. He also need to reposition the davits for the dinghy as we were not comfortable with the configuration we had.

I on the other hand was busy putting our registration decal and numbers on the dinghy boards and giving someone a haircut, pedicure and teeth cleaning. Jaxon is so good just standing and being ever so patient. As you can see he thinks he is quite handsome.

After a morning of chores, we scoot into town with 2Outrageous and catch an Uber to the Market area. We find a great place for lunch called Hooked Seafood. They had a bar that opened to the street so we could sit outside with Jaxon. It was quite delicious and readied us for the next couple of hours.

Laurie and I walked through the Market in search of one or two things but did not feel compelled to spend money on anything that we saw. We stop at a few other shops before heading to the water front and starting our trek back to the boats. Little did we know how long the walk was. The boys were a little anxious and my captain was tired, but we made it back by about 1600 and quickly decided next time to Uber back.

Back at Ti Amo we pull up the dinghy and prepare her for our offshore passage. Our plan is to leave Wednesday sometime and get into either St. Simons or St. Marys entrance by sometime Thursday. All is dependent on tide and weather forecasts of course. We hope for a benign day with enough wind to fill our sails and give us a knot or two.
