Being this far south, our amount of protection from strong winds is limited. We have great protection from the east and we have to look for the right anchorages for anything with a north or south component. There is absolutely NO western protection down this way. So we have picked up the anchor and moved to Southside Bay which is the furthest south we can go without heading to Turks and Caicos or Cuba. We are quite happy here.

It has been four seasons but I have finally found the recipe for bread that works well for sandwiches. It met with the captains approval and it was super easy to make so now we are not dependent on the grocery store for that.

We have spent the week doing chores and hiding from the wind. Jaxon as you can imagine is the life of every beach gathering eating up every ounce of attention he can. Such a little mess! He has really been a champ when it comes to his haircuts. He sits atop the hanging locker and waits till I tell him to move. I think the set of clippers must have instilled the fear of movement. He has really done well!

Well we just finished listening to Chris Parker's weather for the Bahamas and it sounds as though we are here through Friday as there is another front coming through on Thursday. We could move a little up the Jumento chain but then we lose some protection from the south winds.
