Zen moment
12 April 2010 | Ipswich
Another trip up to check on the boat. I came, I saw, and all was well. Left smiling.
Boat's in the shed to be sprayed. Spoke to the bloke who's doing all the work - he knows and understands what's expected. Spoke to the yard foreman - he too knows what's expected. Agreement and mutual understanding all round. Truly a 'Zen' moment. I'm so relaxed, you could pour me into a bucket.
Should have gone with them for the deck too.
Minor blot on the landscape - Fox's won't be doing our rigging. Too much faffing about. Nil desperandum - good old RigMagic came trough with flying colours. Nigel's replaced our forestay a couple of years ago and at the time I had asked him for a quote to do the whole lot. So much later, he as good as honoured it. Done and dusted in 3 days. All done bar the shouting.
After months of doom and gloom - what a change. All's going as expected and hoped for. It really is darkest just before the dawn.
Now back to work for a few weeks, and then... sailing. And lots of it. I can't recall when I've looked forward to a decent sail more than now.
Back to normal - almost.
