Brilliant

It's been ten days now, time to check on the boat's progress.
First stop: sail loft. The sprayhood was taken down two years ago. It could do with a decent clean (mildew - nothing seems to work) and a few minor stitches and the frame which was also removed when they were working on the deck needs to put back in place. Left them to ponder the possibilities/options. More on this, hopefully soon.
Second stop: Suffolk Yacht Harbour. Pontoon berths on the Orwell seem to be rarer than hen's teeth for a boat our size. Some 'possibles' , but nothing definite. Whatever - we launch in a month, and I need somewhere to park my baby. Should nothing materialise in time, we'll be back on our mooring for the time being.
Last stop: Guapa. The 'star' attraction. Better than hoped for. She's coming along nicely. The picture speaks for itself. Words could not do the result justice. They're currently applying the Coppercoat bottom and the new engine and prop are due to go in next week. Still on track and on schedule (-ish). Hopefully on budget too.
Also arranging a survey before she launches. Not long now.
Just a couple of weeks at work to go, and then... sun, sea and wind (WSW 4-5 would suit most purposes). Let the good times roll... Laissez les bons temps rouller...
