Another weekend - I wonder how the boat's getting on. And the sprayhood frame needs to get back on board. Sufficient reason to warrant another trip up to Ipswich.
Bit of a shock when we arrived at the yard. Quick look in the spraying shed - she wasn't there. Engineering shed? Not there either. Spotted the yard foreman and he quickly pointed her out to us. Phew.
There she was, just by the river. Out in broad daylight and edging closer towards the water all the time. Brigitte and Yanni had come along - they hadn't seen her for months. Muted response at first, but from later comments I gather they approve.
So, where are we? Topsides all done now, bottom fully Coppercoated and new propshaft is in. The engine bed is currently being modified to take the new Nanni and apparently fitting the new exhaust is proving to be a 'challenge'. Still on track for a May 24th launch. I have also arranged for a survey the same day.
Things to do next week: prod rigger and sail loft. Keep with the program, people.
We're getting there - twenty-two days and counting.
