Boat's stocked and given a thorough clean before the off. Last of the nav checked. We're good to go.
Amazing, it's mid-July already and it's only the second time this year we're getting ready to go somewhere. Work and weather have got a lot to answer for.
Planning for the next week:
- Monday PM: pick up a mooring off Levington
- Tuesday very AM: slip mooring and off to Ramsgate (known around here as the fashion capital of the western world - don't ask).
- Wednesday: R&R in Ramsgate - hello Belgian Bar.
- Thursday - again very early AM: passage to Brighton. 84NM and it looks like it'll be wind on the nose all the way. Must remember to fuel either in Fox's or Ramsgate.
- Friday: R&R in Brighton.
- Either late Friday evening or early Saturday morning: crew change. Other half and youngest offspring to join the boat, eldest to head home to babysit the dog and the boyfriend.
- Saturday: passage to St Valery en Caux.
We'll take it from there.
Looking forward to a fast passage to Ramsgate - previous record is 6 hours 35 minutes.
Determined to have a good time, regardless of the weather and whatever else.
