Bertha

As you can see, the pressure wash really helped. Took the old girl out for a day sail the other week and boat speed has improved markedly. Even in a moderate breeze. Bodes well for the future.
Summer cruise: once again, nothing is going as planned. The original plan was to go cruising for 10-11 days and then spend a similar amount of time in Brittany. The passage of the remnants of hurricane Bertha dictated otherwise. Rather than spend time aboard weathering foul weather we opted to go to Brittany first. Just got back yesterday.
The revised plan is now as follows: boat tomorrow – CO & XO. A hopefully fast and comfortable passage to Dieppe in as few stops as possible. Spend some time there and then make our way back at a more leisurely pace. Then, home port for a crew change as Brigitte is due back at work on the 1st. Followed by - weather permitting - a father & son trip to Ostend.
Life is what happens whilst you’re making other plans.
