Gypsy's Photos - Greening It Up

Much more green in them there hills.

The aloe vera plants greened up almost immediately. If you remember from a previous picture they were mostly tan up until now.

This little desert shaggy mane mushroom popped up all around the marina.

This was at the start of our road trip. Looking back towards San Jose del Cabo.

Heading into the mountains where we found rain so we did not stop much.

Goats on the windy mountain road were being tended to by a dog. No humans were present!

Chicken has to cross the road to get to the church. Done with his prayers he was on his way home.

Cactus flowering...

and fruiting...

Fruit opens up and inside is a beautiful magenta lining!

This green heron came to visit C Dock one day looking for food.

A dragonfly photobombed this shot. see the blue streak about the herons head?

The long-jawed longhorn beetle that we found in the trees awhile back came for a visit on Gypsy.

This unfortunate cicada washed up near us but it was so beautiful I had to take its picture.

The wings are like stained glass.

This is a plume moth. Not a great picture but I had never seen anything like it. Would not have guessed it was a moth but the entomologist on the boat of course knew exactly what it was.

Pigeon ready to hop aboard!

I saw the pigeon one day looking like this and I thought she was sick. Bob said, oh no, she is just resting. Very comfortably I might add.

In case you were wondering... pigeons take wet baths just once a week but preen daily. At least that is this ones schedule!

Sparrows like the bath tub too.

Pitaya, or dragonfruit, from a local cactus. Fresh from the organic farmer. The color was amazing and it tasted good too! This was mildly sweet. I have tried other cactus fruit that were more tart.

Mexican Independence Day was September 16th. Festivities were curtailed due to COVID-19

This is how they take down that huge flag!

We were out on my dads birthday. They asked if we celebrating anything so I told them it was his birthday. They brought us a birthday dessert! Happy birthday Dad!

Can you guess what this was swimming by the boat?

A crab! Just swimming along in the harbor.

Rubber band art. It fell on the floor and landed like this without any help!

More interesting shapes on the floor.

Have to add a sunrise and sunset....

And no album from here is complete without an osprey picture, or two!

This osprey on the crane has been trying to attract a mate all summer. Thought he had one here. She circled around a few days in a row but have not seen her since. Poor guy. He is trying.
