This butterfly looks quite beat up but is still pollinating. Thank you butterfly!

San Jose estuary from the bridge. We stayed long enough to see the cycles of nature change the landscape - in this case the water filling the arroyo down to the estuary.

Caracara and vulture contemplate who might get the porcupine fish carcass on the beach before them.

Caracara called in some recruits and outnumbered the vulture.

In the end they all flew away and left the dead porcupine fish for another day.

The volunteer digs the eggs and turtles out from their deep sand nest. The white objects in the upper left are the leathery shells. To the left of the hand are newborns, as well as in the bucket.

We are off to La Paz. This is Puerto Los Cabos and the Sierra Laguna mountain range from the water.

This orange crowned warbler decided to join us for a few minutes of rest as she made her way to shore.
