Time for an update

Since the last post the weather has been goo except for last week when Alison and Chris came out to visit. Almost as soon as their plane touched down the rain started and it was on and of till they left. They are not great sun worshippers so it didn't really make that much difference for them. We had [...]

Back again

I suspect everyone is wondering where we have been. Shortly after our last post we decided that living on board was not the best option and that it was time to put Haggis Hunter on the market. We then started looking at rented accommodation and found the place we are now in. It is a very nice quite new [...]

Woops it's 2 weeks since my last post

Didn't realise it had been so long since I posted something. We are settling in to having a car and now trying not to use it too much, but the freedom is great. We went to a Country and Western lunch and afternoon at Silves a small town a bit west of here that has a dramatic castle in the middle of the [...]

It's wet and windy

Peter
Dot and Jack arrived safely on Tuesday night so we have been out with them a few times, and they came down here for tea last night which was quite good. No more news on the sinking, the boat has been moved into one of the shore park slots and nothing much seems to be happening, though another abandoned boat has been moved a few berths perhaps to some where from where the wreckage can be removed more easily.

Our plans for coming home for a flying visit are now finalised and we will fly back with Dot and Jack on the 2nd and back out here on the 12th. Our chums from Caitlin will be back by then to keep and eye on the boat, though I am sure Millie's chums will also keep a lookout.

Our local bank account is progressing, we now have money in it and a bank card though I need to go into the branch to get it activated as due to an oversight all the paperwork is coming in Portuguese at the moment. The car paperwork is coming one they say, so fingers crossed.

The weather is getting cooler at the moment and we have had some rain again today. Not much change tomorrow but we hope the rest of the week will be nice again.
