Haggis Hunter goes South

This really is the end of the line. I signed the Bill of Sale for Haggis Hunter yesterday and she is now of to her new home in Gibraltar. Later her new owners intend setting of into the Mediterranean for a few years so she will of on her travels again soon and perhaps a new blog too.

Since the last post the weather has been goo except for last week when Alison and Chris came out to visit. Well as I said we pick our days to travel. We set off for the airport in good time and just as well because just before we got to Faro with luck I spotted that just past the Algarve Stadium exit the traffic was stationary so we peeled off there and the trusty Tomtom got us there in the end. Shortly after we went through to the departure lounge they told us there was a 2.5 hour delay. They did get of at the new time and just before we were due to land the pilot came on and told us that although the airport was open they were not accepting inbound flights for an hour, so we were stacked, but after about 10 minutes they relented and let us land. The due to problems with the buses and the weather we ended up at Dot and Jack's house which was just as well because it took us several hours the next day to get the water and heating on. Then on Saturday morning we were rudely wakened at about 5 o'clock by the cover over our decking collapsing under the weight of snow.

Apart from that everything is fine if cold.
