Group of Seven Eat Your Heart Out

01 August 2014
Well, it appears the arrival of August has provided some much more seasonal weather than Julvember. We awoke to full sun and 20 degree temps and even went for a swim prior to heading out to the Benjamin Islands today.

The wind right on our nose so no sailing but we didn't care! it was warm, with blue sky, sun and great tunes playing on the radio as I found a patch cord to wire in my Ipod to the boat stereo! We anchored for lunch in the Benjamins and went to a nice beach to play with Finn, He finally went in the water after his flying squirrel, (frisbee- like soft toy...his all time favourite) over his head to prove he really can swim! he had a great time and spent the rest of the day lounging on the boat as we returned to the same anchorage as the previous night.

I can see now why they call this the best freshwater cruising grounds in the world. The water is great, there are tons of places to anchor and, if you pay attention, not too much to run into except when approaching shore to anchor. (note: Italian cruise ship captains should not come anywhere near here.....just sayin!) We're hoping for some wind tomorrow as we start heading to Tobermory to pick up Chris and Justine on Monday.
