Cleveland Rocks
20 August 2014
Had a bouncy night on the mooring ball due to the aftermath of the storm but the weather improved for today. The usual possibility of showers and thunderstorms disclaimer was on the Coast Guard weather report this morning so we kept a constant watch on the sky. We set out for Cleveland but had a backup plan in place for closer ports if the weather got nasty. There were a couple of showers between us and shore along the way but nothing hit us. The water colour was a lot clearer today and the average depth was around 50’. We even got the sail up today as we had a 10 knot tail wind for most of the trip.
We made port in Cleveland at 4 pm. Tonight's shot is a very nice looking thunderhead in the making...it should be hitting the Lake Ontario area over night! Tomorrow we hit the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame which is just a couple of miles down the road from us!!!
