Spa Creek In Annapolis to Crab Alley Creek in Chester, MD
12 October 2015 | Island View Marina
Sunny, light and cool winds
The threats of Hurricane Joaquin is well behind us and the boat show is over. While moored at Spa Creek we were able to catch up on some chores and attend the boat show. We got some exercise by running through the streets of Annapolis. We caught up on our laundry by going to the laundry mat on Maryland street and by using the washer and dryer in the restrooms at the City Dock. We reprovisioned our meat and fresh veggies with the help of a friend Vickie who drove us to the vegetable stand and grocery store. We got to spend time with family and friends from home as well. Sadly we had to say our final goodbyes.
Our wind generator also said "goodbye" after the high winds last week. So we had to buy a new one at the boat show. Thankfully, we were able to get the boat show price which was lower than what was listed from the manufacturer.
We left Annapolis this morning for Island View Marina where we will have the new wind generator installed. Ron is going to change the oil and fuel filters and we are going to have the engine looked at before continuing south.
For now, we are happy to be at a dock with electricity and fresh water. The Marina (Island View Marina) has pristine bathrooms which equates to hot showers and real flushing toilets, Yea.....The plan is to leave here on Friday for Solomon's Island.
