Course change Hawaii

We've made the big turn for Hawaii! There is a Gale of San Francisco, so we thought it was time to start pointing toward the Big Island. The Pacific High is still relatively low in latitude, but if the weather continues as predicted, we should start picking up some trade winds tomorrow. In the mean time, yet again, we are going up wind into the seas. And they told me this was going to be a down wind run all the way. The day has been grey, no real sun, a bit of drizzle from time to time, not very warm.
We've both spent the entire day reading. The weather isn't really motivating to go outside. The boat is sailing herself pretty much. We have chores, but they can wait till tomorrow.
