Evening Squall

Interesting last 24 hours weather wise. Lots of crashing and banging of the sails overnight due to light winds and copy water. We pulled down the main sail at the end of the first night watch to allow the genoa to get cleaner air. A combination of lack of sleep and bad wind angle made taking down the main sail a grouch maneuver for me. I got very frustrated man handling the huge sail in rolling seas against the wind.
By the morning after not much sleep from the noise, we found the wind was less than 5 knots and the genoa just slapped back and forth in the rain. We furled the Genoa and leisurely motored for about 3 hours before finding some wind and sun.
Spent the day sun tanning and reading, broken up by boat repairs and emails.
Tyler made a spectacular dinner out of the fresh fish he caught yesterday. Arguably the best meal since departure.
Just as dinner was being prepared, we saw that we were being overtaken by a large squall. The ugliest looking black cloud line was passing us to the north, while behind us and to the South was a monster rain cloud. Time to clean up the deck. Over the next hour the swell and wind doubled as the squall enveloped us. We are inside off the squall. I expect that weather tomorrow will be similar with rain and calm in the morning, midday sun, then developing into evening squalls.
