North to South

Mostly Harmless crossed the equator this morning at 2100 GMT at a longitude of 157 57.6'. I took a picture of the GPS changing from north to south.
Life onboard has been really good over the last 24 hours. The weather is positively beautiful. The wind is about 10-15 knots and the seas aren't too steep. We are beating directly into the wind and sea, but we're pointing at our destination and making good time. The longer this weather holds the better.
For the first time single-handing, I was able to cook a proper breakfast. I sat outside and drank coffee in the morning sun. As the sun rose, I though the boat was running smooth enough to tackle a repair project. I decided that it was time to clean out the rust from propane furnace after it became an aquarium on the last leg. It took about 3 hours, but it looks like it will work again. I can't test it as I duck taped the chimney watertight while at Christmas Island. I don't figure I'll need the heat onboard until New Zealand.
