Hey Everybody,

Im a few days late with my blog post, but what is the point of being at sea if you cant be tardy every once in a while. We've been having great time relaxing at Socorro after what felt like a month of running around before we set out. Its nice to feel really recuperated and ready to go. The anticipation of the upcoming crossing is getting me really excited. Ive been reading sailing book after sailing book lately and the cruising guides we have for the South Pacific make it sound fantastic, which im sure it will be.

In the meantime though we have been surrounded by whales on almost a daily basis. I look on these sort of places as a time capsule offering a glimpse of e world unaffected and indifferent to humanity. It is incredible seeing the immense concentration of life, but it also makes me a little depressed thinking how most of the ocean used to have this amount of activity. Well breakfast is being served (homemade granola with berry chia pudding) so I had better get going.
