Haul Out

Ted, beautiful day
Wonderful day today. Got.up with the sun and motored over to boatyard. As usual I fretted about possible strong cross wind that would make getting away from the dock tenuous. Singlehanded I would have to let go the bow line and quickly run back to the helm and get underway before the bow crashes into the adjacent boat. No wind this morning! I fretted needlessly.
Well, anyway North Star was hauled, bottom washed, bottom paint touched up, old alternator torn out, and most of the new alternator put back. The marine surveyor who was supposed to survey North Star didn't make it, but promised to be here tomorrow. Hopefully we will finish the alternator install and run the engine before he arrives.
I almost had story about an underwear thief. I had gone over for a late night shower in the marina facilities. When I came out of the shower, looked my bag, there was no clean underwear! I thought for a moment the guy who came in after me and left before me had stolen my underwear! Nope! Again a worthless worry. They were still on my bunk when I returned to the boat.
Up early tomorrow.
