Our big adventure!

It's different in the Bahamas...is the tourism slogan. I think this applies to airports as well.

Not only is this the airport landing strip, but it was also the road we had to take to get to Ty's Beach Bar! As we walked along the very side of the runway, we kept looking up expecting the plane to land at any moment. We even saw a truck enroute to the Yacht Club barrelling down the runway as well, as the road they would normally take seemed to be washed out or blocked. Perhaps they were driving so fast in order to beat a plane as well:).

We anchored right biside the beach with the swimming pigs and they all came out to visit, hoping we had brought lunch, or at least a snack.

This is a beautiful shot of the iguana island, our boat is the one on the left.

Thanks to some new friends we met from Germany (their boat is on the right), who took this stunning shot from their drone.

Check out the difference in water colour. The dark blue at the top is the Atlantic Ocean (easier for sailing), and the lovely turquoise water is the shallow water of the Bahamas...perfect for swimming, snorkeling and all round playing!
