Friday April 7, 2018 - Day 14 at sea The trade winds have arrived along with a weather disturbance just north of us. All good but sailing in and around squalls constantly. Seas from 3 different directions, just like on Lake Superior! Waves to 10 feet and wind around 20 kts with peaks to 29. Reef in during the day and double at night. Bouncy ride compared with the last 14 days. No more BBQ at sea for a while. No shortage of Dolphins in the last few days. A couple of evenings ago a flock, err, pod of them (about 50 or more) put on a jumping contest for us. Multiple jumps high into the air and flipping, twisting about 6 feet into the air. This went on for about 20 minutes. I did get a short video which I will post from Nuku Hiva. Cleaning the deck of Flying Fish and the occasional Squid as well. Lots of flying fish around. Flocks of up to 50 or more at a time take off in front of the boat!
