We left Marco Island a couple days ago. We had a 10 hour run into the Everglades and anchored in Shark river. No cell service. The no se ums welcomed us, even coming though the screens and I’m covered with bites! It was a beautiful star lite evening/nice and quiet.
We have been traveling with a buddy boat the last couple of weeks which makes it fun doing laundry (walked 1/2 mile) and sharing meals. They have a deeper keel than us and in low Tide have had a couple of situations where they got stuck. That slows you down quite a bit!
Today was another 45 miles getting into Marathon, Florida. Going under the 7 mile bridge was fun. We are anchored, but there are tons of boats here and we won’t be staying long. Venture On K&B
