A year ago today we purchased HeleAku. Keith spoke with the broker on Monday about checking out a 37 foot Pacific Seacraft. We drove to Falmouth, Massachusetts and had an appointment to see the boat at 10 AM on Thursday. She was on the hard and tucked in among many other beautiful, large, sailboats and fully covered. After climbing over every inch of her for three hours we put a bid in. We liked what we saw, and our bid was accepted at 4 PM! It was love at first sight for Keith. In my mind, I was wondering how are we going to get her all the way back to Ohio! Little did I know we were taking her on a 6000 mile adventure! She has performed very well & at this point has become home.
We had been at Great Harbor Cay Marina for a week and left at 3 AM this morning. Had a wonderful sail for 13 hours to Bimini where we will wait for a weather window to sail another 50 miles to Florida.
