Dave & Trish's
11 February 2011 | Port Howe, Cat Island

Remember Dave and Trish? Well, we left Monday morning with a perfect SE wind that blew us right up to Port Howe on the southern coast of Cat Island. We arrived early afternoon lining our bow up with Dave and Trish's house. Their house is right where there is a cut in the long reef that lines the shore. Dave saw us sailing in and radioed directions to make sure we were safe. Port Howe is not a big cruiser's destination, the anchorage has good holding but it is a bit rolly. The area also has lots of coral heads making it dangerous and especially at night. During the day, however, we can dodge the corals and dinghy right up to Dave and Trish's house on the beach. They truly have every 9 to 5er's dream house with a long covered porch over looking the blue water with Adirondack chairs and hammocks on the beach.
