Trail from Honeymoon Beach to Cruz Bay

12 December 2015 | Honeymoon Beach, St John USVI
Richard
So, Cruz Bay is just packed full of boats mostly owned by locals, with no room for visiting boats, except in the unmarked 3hr anchorage area.

But, just around the corner there are mooring balls at Honeymoon Beach which cost $15 per night. It also costs $15 per night to anchor.

Since the ferry rocks your boat severely every 45 minutes, you want to find something to do off the boat for most day. We found an easy 1.5 mile (estimated) walking trail that takes you into town. And, hanging out on the beach is nice too. Anything to get away from those horrible ferry wakes. We're moving on to hopefully more favorable locations tomorrow.
